In some areas of Mexico City, temperatures between 1 and 3 degrees are expected. A yellow weather alert was activated for Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras, and Xochimilco, while an orange alert was activated for the Milpa Alta and Tlalpan boroughs. To mitigate the effects of the low temperatures and protect the health of the capital's residents, the SGIRPC recommended that people who feel unwell should go to a nearby health center. To prevent respiratory illnesses, it was recommended to get vaccinated against the flu, as well as to avoid sudden temperature changes and to consume large amounts of water, fruits, and vegetables rich in vitamins A and C. The Integral Risk Management and Civil Protection Secretariat (SGIRPC) of Mexico City activated a double alert due to the low temperatures that will be recorded during the early morning hours on Monday. According to the forecast, two of the capital's boroughs will be the most affected by the cold.
