A Peruvian company with more than 23,000 organized events in Peru and revenue of approximately 17 million dollars in transactions is expanding its business to Mexico. The company specializes in eliminating logistical problems at events, ensuring that gifts translate into tangible benefits for organizers. Additionally, they offer access to digital invitations and fundraising campaigns for charitable causes.

With the expansion in Mexico, the company is seeking investors to boost its growth and plans to add a catalog of suppliers and financing options to provide a comprehensive experience in event organization. Meanwhile, reforms have been implemented in Mexico City regarding the Tourism Law and its Regulations that could impact tax collection, especially the tax imposed on lodging services.

In Mexico, around half a million weddings are celebrated each year, making the country an attractive market for companies offering event organization services like Sin Envolturas. This Peruvian startup facilitates the monetization of gift tables at celebrations such as weddings, baby showers, and birthdays, directly depositing the amount into the hosts’ bank accounts without fees.

The new restrictions in Mexico City could push activities such as property rentals into the informal sector, which would directly affect tax collection and government revenue. These measures could impact the resources available for community projects and services, jeopardizing the balance in oversight and regulation previously achieved.

On another note, Walmart Mexico and Bayer have allied to offer free eye exams to citizens over 40 years old with diabetes and hypertension in Mexico City. This initiative aims to identify eye problems related to diabetes, a costly disease that affects a large portion of the Mexican population and carries risks such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, among others.

Furthermore, at an event called "Empower Her: Innovation for Women Entrepreneurs 2024," held in Jalisco and organized by the local government in partnership with Kapital Bank, the goal was to strengthen the female business ecosystem in the region. In a country where four out of ten SMEs are led by women entrepreneurs, this initiative focuses on providing support, knowledge, and the necessary tools for women to innovate and grow in the current business environment.
