A confrontation was recorded between street vendors and police from the SecretarĂa de Seguridad Ciudadana of Mexico City (SSC) in Alameda Central, near the Palacio de Bellas Artes. The conflict was captured on video and shared on social media.

During the altercation, two taco vendors threw containers of sauce at the uniformed officers and government workers. Despite attempts to control the situation, the vendors continued their attack, throwing trays and even hitting the police with these utensils.

The police managed to detain three people and took them to the civic court, but the situation escalated when other vendors tried to prevent their colleagues from being arrested, leading to a new confrontation on Avenida Hidalgo. Food scraps, sauces, and pieces of food from the street vendor's stand were scattered on the ground.

The images show government employees trying to remove a tricycle of products while the vendors prevent them by throwing objects. Despite attempts at dialogue by the reorganization workers, the situation quickly escalated from verbal complaints to shoving and pushing between both parties. The presence of elements of the city police can even be seen trying to control the situation.
