Four young people were arrested on the streets of Cuauhtémoc borough after robbing a department store. During the robbery, they took cell phones, perfumes, and telephone items, in addition to being discovered with hundreds of doses of drugs by police officers from the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC).

Through monitoring the security cameras at the Command and Control Center (C2) in the Centro Centro area, the monitors alerted SSC personnel conducting investigation work in the Obrera neighborhood about the presence of a woman and three men handling what appeared to be a firearm.

The agents went to the indicated location, a department store on Manuel M. Flores street, where they located the four individuals. Upon noticing the police presence, they attempted to flee but were intercepted a few meters ahead. After searching the suspects, identified as two 19-year-old teenagers, a 25-year-old young man, and an 18-year-old woman, a series of stolen items and illegal substances were found in their possession.

Among the seized items were two backpacks of different colors, 21 cell phones, six boxes of perfumes, 10 boxes with telephone items, a bag with apparent bulk marijuana, 198 transparent bags with the same herb, 100 plastic bags with a substance similar to crystal, and a replica firearm.

After reading their constitutional rights and explaining the reason for their detention, the police presented the detainees and the secured objects to the corresponding Public Prosecutor's Office, which will determine their legal situation. According to authorities, records indicate that the four young people may be linked to a criminal group operating on the streets of downtown Mexico City, dedicated to theft in convenience stores, merchandise theft, and drug dealing.
