This week, the local Congress received the final shortlists with the candidacies to occupy the specialized Prosecutor's Offices for electoral crimes and the anti-corruption office. Among the specialized dependencies are the Anti-Corruption Office and the electoral crimes office, where more than 15 complaints were filed against Quijano in La Magdalena Contreras by Fernando Mercado.
The Citizen Judicial Council formed the respective shortlists, confirming that the candidates to compete for the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Fight Against Corruption will be Luz Adriana Mercedes Greaves Muñoz, José Gerardo Huerta Alcalá, and César Silva Mejía. Meanwhile, Marisol Jiménez Martínez, Raymundo Guzmán Corroviñas, and Daniel Osorio Roque will do the same for the Electoral Crimes Office.
In the coming days, the justice commission, chaired by the morenista Alberto Martínez Urincho, will begin the consultation and interview process with the different candidates. Although it is not yet defined who will be the appointed individuals, it is expected to resume the process to carry out the final vote.
After the transitional period of Ulises Lara, the ruling party is advancing with the remaining appointments in the Judiciary of the capital. The parliamentary groups of the 4T hold an absolute majority, so a smooth vote is expected.
Clara Brugada's government is moving forward with a series of pending appointments in the capital, having confirmed Bertha Alcalde at the head of the Attorney General's Office last December. This office is analyzing names for different positions, such as the Comptroller's Office, the PAOT, and directorships of secretariats, which will be submitted to a vote in the full assembly to receive the majority support of the benches.
