Mexico City experiences a surge of violence with multiple shootings over five consecutive days, resulting in the deaths of several individuals and numerous injuries. Authorities are investigating and making arrests.

On Sunday, in Nuevo León street, Hipódromo Condesa neighborhood, a Colombian man, allegedly a member of the Cártel Tren Aragua, was shot dead. This assault resulted in five people dead and one injured. Three alleged perpetrators were arrested: two in the Narvarte neighborhood and one in Carlos Zapata Vela neighborhood, Iztacalco municipality. The detainees, a 30-year-old woman, and two men aged 20 and 30, were presented to the Public Ministry.

In the Bondojito neighborhood, Venustiano Carranza municipality, one person was killed and their bound body was abandoned on the public road, where it was later set on fire. Meanwhile, in the Renovación neighborhood, Iztapalapa, armed individuals entered a home and shot dead one of the residents before fleeing.

On Tuesday, in the western Narvarte neighborhood, Benito Juárez municipality, two armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on people in a motorcycle workshop, leaving one dead and two injured. These events are part of a series of targeted gun attacks that have occurred in the capital, raising the homicide count in CDMX to 12 in the last five days.

On Wednesday, in Insurgentes Mixcoac, Citizen Security agents thwarted an attempted robbery that resulted in an armed confrontation with an alleged criminal, resulting in the latter's death. The victim of the robbery attempt suffered head injuries and glass cuts. A homemade submachine gun was confiscated from the alleged assailant.

Violence in the city has escalated with this string of shootings and executions, many of which remain unsolved. Authorities have detailed that after one of the attacks, they managed to secure a motorcycle abandoned by the assailants, who subsequently got into a red vehicle. In Del Valle neighborhood, another shooting was reported, marking five consecutive days of violent incidents in the capital, with one man murdered.

Additionally, at a gas station in Gertrudis Sánchez neighborhood, Gustavo A. Madero municipality, another person was shot dead inside a vehicle, and in San Miguel Mixquic, Tláhuac, a group opened fire on a group of people. In total, ten people have been killed, and at least three have been injured in seven violent events in recent days.
