Transport organizations announced that they will carry out blockades at various points in Mexico City in protest against acts of extortion and fabricated crimes against them. The transporters will block the San Cristóbal Iron Bridge, the Mexico-Querétaro toll booth, the Mexico-Cuernavaca toll booth, the Ignacio Zaragoza toll booth, and the La Marquesa toll booth, among other points.
In addition, a large march will take place tomorrow, February 17, starting at 8:00 a.m. heading to the Government Palace in Chimalhuacán. It is expected that other important thoroughfares may also be affected, so motorists are advised to take precautions.
On the other hand, healthcare personnel will also hold a protest on the same day. Doctors and nurses will gather at strategic points in the Metropolitan Area to demand medical supplies, respect for their labor rights, and better attention from authorities regarding issues in the healthcare system.
The blockade points for the transporters' large march and the healthcare personnel's protest include entrances to airports, stretches of the North Perimeter, various highways such as Mexico-Pachuca, Mexico-Querétaro, Mexico-Puebla, Mexico-Texcoco, Mexico-Toluca, as well as major avenues like Gustavo Baz, Av. Tollocán, and Av. Central - Ecatepec.
