Omar Beltrán, a supporter of Club América, was arrested in Mexico City for his alleged involvement in a homicide. The images show Beltrán wearing his favorite team's shirt while being detained and taken to the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City for processing.
According to reports, Beltrán, also known as "El Cachetes," was allegedly implicated in the death of a man presumably related to the murder of his brother, nicknamed "El Cachetitos." The detention was carried out as part of an operation by the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat after being linked to the murder.
In a leaked recording on social media, Beltrán is shown handcuffed, accompanied by agents of the capital police. Despite his detention, he is still seen wearing the Club América jersey in the images.
Beltrán was located by security agents while celebrating the victory of Las Águilas over Pumas in Matchday 8 of the Clausura 2025 of Liga MX. He is accused of being involved in a murder that was allegedly carried out in retaliation for his brother's death.
