New Tax Incentive for Private Security in CDMX

The Parliamentary Group of the National Action Party in the Congress of Mexico City, through Deputy Andrés Sánchez Miranda, has presented an initiative for families and businesses that hire private security in the capital to access an 8% reduction on property tax payments. This proposal aims to support all families and businesses that invest in their security without government backing.

The goal of the initiative is to extend the 8% reduction in property tax to those who hire private security, allowing the benefit to apply at any time of the year, not just in January. The coordinator of the PAN Caucus, Andrés Atayde, highlighted his Parliamentary Group's commitment to the safety of citizens, recognizing the efforts of those who have had to protect themselves due to the lack of results from the government.

Andrés Atayde emphasized that this measure seeks to acknowledge the efforts of residents to safeguard their integrity and assets, providing economic relief and strengthening security conditions in the city. The proposal intends to benefit citizens of all economic backgrounds who have had to bear the cost of their security due to the insecurity affecting Mexico City.

According to Andrés Sánchez Miranda, this tax incentive is not a privilege for a few, but a recognition of all citizens who have had to face the cost of their security due to the government's lack of results in this area. He explained that the expenditure on security is borne by citizens of various socioeconomic backgrounds and that this initiative seeks to provide financial relief to those who invest in their security.

In context, this initiative is a response to the reality of the high perception of insecurity that continues in Mexico City and the necessity many residents have felt to resort to private security to protect their families and businesses. In summary, the proposal aims to recognize and support those who are forced to take measures to protect themselves due to the situation of insecurity in the city.
