A man named Gerardo Ruiz was arrested after stabbing his rival 17 times during a fight at the Cuajimalpa town hall in Mexico City. While attempting to escape from the police by performing evasive maneuvers in his vehicle, he ended up crashing into a patrol car of the Investigation Police.

After the accident, Gerardo Ruiz was detained and taken to the corresponding Public Prosecutor's Office, where he was made available to judicial authorities to face charges of homicide and attempted evasion. The Investigation Police opened an investigation to gather evidence regarding the case.

After several days of follow-up, authorities managed to intercept the subject on the streets of the Mexican capital. At the time of his capture, Gerardo Ruiz was handcuffed on his hands and feet due to his previous attempts to escape from authorities.

The subject was interrogated during the legal procedure and was explained his legal situation. The case was revealed by journalist Carlos Jiménez on his social media, where he detailed Gerardo Ruiz's brutal aggression against his victim amid a fight.
