In this second kidnapping, while driving in his vehicle with a friend, they were intercepted by an armed man who stole some belongings from them. Despite recognizing Erik, the man let them go on the condition that they would not report him or pursue them, while warning them about the consequences of disobedience.
On another occasion, Erik Rubín was kidnapped after leaving the airport by a group of individuals who interrogated him and held him captive for approximately half an hour before releasing him. In a more detailed account of the events, the singer mentions that he was beaten, blindfolded, and taken to a parking lot to be questioned about substances he did not possess.
Despite the traumatic nature of these events, Erik Rubín revealed in later interviews that, despite being a victim of kidnappings, he was spared from more serious situations because the criminals recognized him and decided to let him go. These kidnappings add to other cases of celebrities in Mexico, such as actor Alexis Ayala, who was also kidnapped in the past.
