On Thursday, March 13, 2025, near the Basilica of Guadalupe, located in the Gustavo A. Madero (GAM) borough of Mexico City (CDMX), a violent robbery took place at a pawn shop. An individual entered the establishment pretending to be a customer and, after asking to see some electronic devices locked away, pushed one of the employees and proceeded to ransack the store.

In a video shared by reporter and columnist Antonio Nieto on social media, it can be seen how the thief, facing no resistance, took two high-end phones, a tablet, and five more phones. Those present at the pawn shop appear astonished at the violence displayed by the criminal, who swiftly and determinedly steals the valuable items and flees.

So far, authorities from the Citizen Security Secretariat of CDMX have not communicated whether the responsible party for the robbery has been captured. In the images from the security cameras, several customers can be seen waiting for their turn inside the establishment before the criminal bursts onto the scene with his criminal act.

The individual, dressed discreetly, without a mask or clothing that conceals his identity, managed to carry out the robbery acting violently and without being immediately detected. After asking to see the electronic devices, he unleashed his criminal actions, pushing the employee and stealing the valuable items in a matter of minutes.
