In the XXV edition of a mobilization for the legalization of marijuana in Mexico, thousands of activists and supporters gathered in Mexico City and other major cities in the country such as Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Tijuana. The march took place on World Cannabis Liberation Day, where demonstrators demanded regulations for the consumption and recreational use of cannabis.

During the protest, participants emphasized the importance of updating Mexican legislation regarding cannabis, considering the need to establish clear regulations and allow the use of the plant for recreational purposes. They also highlighted the therapeutic benefits that result from cannabis consumption and advocated for its legalization in the country.

One of the event organizers stated: "It is time for authorities to listen to society's demands regarding marijuana. It is time to properly regulate its consumption and use, as well as recognize its medicinal benefits." The manifestation proceeded peacefully and in a festive atmosphere, where people of all ages could be seen united in the same cause.

In this regard, activists reiterated the need to advance cannabis regulation in Mexico and hope that their efforts will promote a positive change in current policy. The mobilization received extensive media coverage and represented another step in the fight for marijuana legalization in the Latin American country.
