The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the main far-right summit in the Americas, announced this Wednesday that it is "postponing" its event scheduled for November 15 and 16 in Mexico City, under the leadership of actor and failed presidential candidate Eduardo Verástegui.
"This decision does not mean an end, but a necessary pause to return with more strength. We will continue to fight with faith and hope for a Mexico that is free, just, and faithful to its roots. We look forward to seeing you at CPAC 2026 in Texas, where we will continue to defend together the values of faith, family, and freedom," reads the CPAC Mexico social media posts.
This comes after the organizer of the conservative conference in Mexico, Eduardo Verástegui, attacked the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, whom he called "treacherous, ungrateful, and disloyal," and predicted the defeat of his party, La Libertad Avanza, in the legislative elections, which did not happen.
"The result? Thank you for your understanding," announced the conservative politician.
In several messages, Verástegui insisted on criticizing Milei, calling him a "messiah," and revealed that "what began as a difference of opinion has turned into a real battle, of such an evident ideological and spiritual nature that to deny it would be to lie."
"Once the waters calm, we will be informing you about what will happen next year. It was to be expected that the Mileists would be offended by questioning their messiah, and that unleashed a series of discussions and brawls on social networks. What began as a difference of opinion turned into... — Eduardo Verástegui (@EVerastegui) October 30, 2025. We were asked to postpone the event," he confessed.
Meanwhile, I am pleased to announce the Viva México Summit, which will be held on November 16 in Mexico City.
"We love our homeland and defend life, the family, and fundamental liberties."
