Mexico City Government Reshuffle: Pablo Yáñez to Replace Alejandro Encinas

Head of Government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, confirmed cabinet appointments. Pablo Yáñez, current Secretary of Education, will replace Alejandro Encinas as Secretary of Territorial Planning and Metropolis, after Encinas was appointed Mexico's ambassador to the OAS. Yáñez, with over 30 years of experience in metropolitan coordination, was praised by the Head of Government for his urban planning expertise and commitment to planning the great city. He will be succeeded in the Education Secretariat by Pedro Moctezuma Barragán, a Doctor in Planning and Development from the University of Liverpool. Both new ministers will begin their roles next Monday. This marks Brugada's first cabinet shuffle following the unexpected departure of Encinas.
