Mexican Deputy to Lead Dialogue on Strengthening National Care Agenda

Federal Deputy Evangelina Moreno Guerra, as coordinator of the Working Group on Care (GTMC), will lead a dialogue between legislators and employers at the San Lázaro Legislative Palace to strengthen the national care agenda.

Evangelina Moreno explained that "this forum will be a fundamental space to listen to the employer sector and build informed decisions that strengthen care policies in the country."

As coordinator of the group, Evangelina Moreno reaffirms that she will continue to promote articulated work between the Legislative Branch, the private sector, and the international community to place the well-being and rights of caregivers and those in need of care at the center of the public debate.

The event will take place in Zone C of the Cristales of building G and will bring together representatives from the public, private, and international organizations.

The agenda includes analysis tables, presentation of best practices from the employer sector, and a high-level dialogue to define a joint legislative path together with business chambers, labor authorities, and specialists in the field.

The dialogue will also take into account various national and international agreements and references that guide the care issue, such as the National Development Plan 2025-2030 and recommendations from bodies like the ILO and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, with the participation of the Secretariat of Labor, the Labor and Social Security Commission, as well as business organizations such as COPARMEX, CONCAMIN, and CCE, in addition to ILO representatives.

Finally, Moreno Guerra anticipates that the results of the forum will allow strengthening the legislative agenda of the GTMC and advancing towards coordinated proposals that dignify the work of caring. "The care agenda requires dialogue, coordination, and social sensitivity," said the federal deputy for Baja California.

The federal legislator for Baja California announced that the central objective of the meeting will be to identify opportunities in current legislation to legislate on care within the work environment, ensuring dignified conditions for those who care and for those who require care.

These actions seek to strengthen the protection of rights, improve institutional processes, and advance towards a corresponsibility system between families, companies, and the State.

The event will take place on December 2, 2025, in person with a live broadcast, and will be part of the GTMC's work plan to advance towards the construction of a national care system.
