Mexico City, Dec 20 (EFE).- The Attorney General's Office (FGR) of Mexico reported this Saturday that it has extradited Faustino 'N' and Óscar 'N' to the United States. The first was extradited on suspicion of selling counterfeit medications containing fentanyl, and the second for sexual abuse and the rape of a minor. In a statement, the FGR indicated that in compliance with the Extradition Treaty signed between Mexico and the U.S., the transfer of the individuals to that country's government - for various crimes - was carried out at Mexico City International Airport (AICM) for their final transfer. The FGR detailed that Faustino 'N' was requested by the Federal Court for the Southern District of California, 'for the probable commission of the crimes of criminal association and sale of counterfeit medication, as he was accused of importing substances containing fentanyl, as well as the sale of counterfeit medication.' It also specified that the requested individual was arrested last August in the border city of Tijuana in the Mexican state of Baja California. It also explained that the extradition of Óscar 'N' came after he was requested by the Superior Court of California in San Diego County, 'for the probable commission of the crimes of sexual abuse and rape, both against a minor.' According to the report, the individual was also apprehended in Tijuana on August 20, 2025. Mexico and the U.S. have strengthened their security collaboration to improve joint work on extraditions, which have included, for example, 55 heads of organized crime.
