Luisa Gutiérrez Ureña and coordinator Andrés Atayde, leading the PAN's leadership and parliamentary group in CDMX, presented this Monday the legislative agenda that the blue and white party will promote in the Congress of the capital during the current Legislature. They announced that the agenda will be marked by a strong rejection of the electoral reform promoted nationally by the 4T and will focus on six main axes: security, mobility, housing, care system, planning, transparency, and accountability. The PAN coordinator, Andrés Atayde, stated that Mexico City is going through a 'decisive moment' where it 'must choose between continuing with improvisation and institutional deterioration or moving towards order, legal certainty, and modernization'. In this regard, he announced that his parliamentary group will present 53 different proposals to address various themes and challenges facing the capital. In any case, he warned that it will be a 'firm and constructive opposition' that will be firm but also offer proposals. 'National Action is working and will continue to work for a capital with security, efficient mobility, transparency, an effective care system, dignified housing, and urban planning with a future vision,' assured Atayde, who will also be tasked with ensuring the unity and peaceful coexistence of the parliamentary group in the run-up to next year's legislative elections. Among the proposals PAN will present, Atayde announced a 'multi-year investment plan for the Metro' along with a 'road ordering plan for the World Cup' starting in June and a detailed 'accountability' for the various works being carried out. Furthermore, it will serve to measure tensions with Morena in the run-up to the elections and after the brawl that both PAN and Morena figures starred in during last year's last session.
