The Mexico City government conducted a series of operations to inspect nightlife venues, resulting in 30 suspensions and 14 business closures. The goal is to ensure citizen safety and legal compliance.

To strengthen nightlife safety and ensure establishments operate legally, the Government of Mexico City, through the Mexico City Government Secretariat (SECGOB), implemented 10 actions of the "The Night is for Everyone" program in March, coordinating with various capital agencies. These operations also involved the Administrative Verification Institute (INVEA), the Citizen Security Secretariat, and the Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection Secretariat. Results: Suspensions, Closures, and Detentions As a result of interinstitutional actions: 35 verification visits were conducted, 30 establishments were suspended, 14 businesses were closed, and 7 people were detained for removing or violating suspension seals. Authorities stated that these administrative violations pose a risk to attendees' safety and fail to comply with current regulations. Boroughs and Colonies Intervened The operations were deployed in various capital boroughs, including: Álvaro Obregón, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Cuajimalpa, Cuauhtémoc, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztacalco, Iztapalapa, Tlalpan, and Venustiano Carranza. Verifications focused on areas like Centro, Narvarte, Portales, Guerrero, Hipódromo, Copilco Universidad, Coapa, and Santa Marta Acatitla, among others. Objective: Prevent Crimes and Risks The "The Night is for Everyone" program aims to: Reduce risks in nighttime spaces, Prevent the commission of crimes, Verify compliance with civil protection standards, Regulate land use, Supervise the sale of alcoholic beverages. Mexico City Government Will Maintain Permanent Operations The government led by Head of Government Clara Brugada reiterated that these operations will continue permanently to guarantee the safety of the population. Capital authorities highlighted that coordination between agencies is key to promoting safe and orderly coexistence in Mexico City's nightlife.
