Sheinbaum Postpones AIFA-Buenavista Route Inauguration

President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that the inauguration of the train route between Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) and Buenavista station will be postponed. It was previously mentioned that the route would open after Easter, but now there is no exact date. Sheinbaum stated that she is awaiting the route's certification to open it to the public, foreseeing 'a few weeks' for this to happen. 'They told me they are still in testing and have not been given certification, so the inauguration will be delayed by a few weeks because we want it to be certified so it can operate. The date is to be given to me, but it is in a few days,' the head of state said. In another decision aimed at ensuring medication supply, Undersecretary of Health Eduardo Clark announced that pharmaceutical companies that have had delays or failures in drug supply will not be able to participate in new tenders. To be eligible for tenders to supply medicines, companies must have a compliance rate of at least 75% on orders, a figure periodically published by the federal government. Clark also reported that from February 12 to the present, 17.2 million doses of the measles vaccine have been administered. He confirmed that thanks to the health system's efforts, the number of cases of the disease is decreasing after a significant increase at the beginning of the year in several states of the country. 'Today I can affirm that measles is clearly on the decline for at least the last four weeks,' he mentioned. Additionally, direct communication channels have been opened for people who visit a medical center and do not receive a specific medicine to report the shortage and receive direct attention. Beneficiaries can call 079 or access the website https://recetacompleta.gob.mx, where they must provide their CURP, the prescription number, the medicines not supplied, and a cell phone number to receive information about the delivery of the rest of the prescription. In oncology centers, the 'white button' has also been activated to report the lack of medicines for their treatment.
