The former mayor of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, has made significant appointments in her expanded cabinet. Among the new members is José Carlos Acosta Ruiz, former mayor of Xochimilco, appointed as the general coordinator of Human Capital at the Ministry of Administration and Finance. Beatriz Rojas Martínez, a former federal deputy and wife of Francisco Chíguil, also joins the team.
One of Brugada's goals is to include key figures who collaborated in her campaign, such as Daniela Cordero, wife of former Head of Government Martí Batres. Additionally, María Guadalupe Chávez, a former local deputy, was appointed as the general coordinator of Housing Units at the Ministry of Housing. These appointments have generated tensions in the opposition regarding positions in the mayorships of Mexico City.
Furthermore, Clara Brugada appointed some individuals to other important positions. One of them is Janecarlo Lozano, who will be the director of the Social Development Fund of Mexico City (FONDESO). On the other hand, former local deputy María Guadalupe Chávez was appointed as the general coordinator of Housing Units at the Ministry of Housing.
It is important to highlight that these appointments have led to changes in other political spheres. For example, Beatriz Rojas Martínez resigned from a candidacy in Morena to support Clara Brugada. The arrival of new members to Brugada's team marks progress in the formation of her administration and the distribution of responsibilities within the governmental structure of Mexico City.
