Threats and Encapsulation: A Judge's Experience at F1

The Second District Judge Specialized in the Execution of Sentences residing in Mexico City, Mónica Pérez Arce, revealed that she was recently a victim of an attack and that yesterday she was contained by the police outside the Mexico Grand Prix of Formula 1.

Pérez Arce described that a week ago, she was intercepted by two motorcyclists on Miguel Ángel de Quevedo Avenue, who hit her car and then pretended to be the victims. In this situation, the judge reported it to 911, but the authorities took time to arrive, so she decided to escape by entering a public parking lot.

The judge pointed out that during the incident, she felt a real threat and that unfortunately, the safety for women is increasingly precarious. Although the event is already reported, she preferred not to make it public initially. However, she decided to share this incident in the context of the containment she experienced by the Mexico City police.

Regarding what happened yesterday at the Mexico Grand Prix of Formula 1, she mentioned that a colleague from the Judiciary of the Federation was also contained with her in a prior situation. During that event, 12 judicial workers attempted to demonstrate before the race but were surrounded and contained by the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat, creating tensions at the site.
