Just before Cruz Azul's participation in Matchday 4 of Liga MX, the official competition website listed forward Mateusz Bogusz in the Celeste squad as an available player. Although the player was able to join the club's training ahead of the match against Necaxa, his debut will have to be postponed for a few matches.
While the scandals surrounding Cruz Azul continue to make headlines off the field, good news has arrived within the team to provide an emotional boost for the upcoming steps in the Clausura 2025 Tournament. The team's star reinforcement, Mateusz Bogusz, has finally been registered in Liga MX, removing the hindrances for his debut with Cruz Azul.
"It’s worth remembering that last week the scorer arrived in Mexico to sign a contract and be presented with the club; however, he could not participate at the Olímpico Universitario due to his lack of registration and transfer," stated the team's head coach. "This raised speculations about his readiness in the team, which has been completed this week."
After drawing with Puebla in Mexico City, the team had only one recovery training before the double matchday. Bogusz has completed his registration process in Liga MX and is expected to see his first minutes with Cruz Azul against Pachuca at the latest.
This Wednesday, the squad will carry out a light training session before Friday's match, leaving Matchday 6 as the only option for Bogusz's grand debut in the Noria squad, where tactical work can be done and he will fully participate. It is worth noting that the Polish player has not seen action for a few weeks as the MLS season ended last month and his preseason was just about to begin, leaving much work ahead for Cruz Azul's new reinforcement.
