In the 2025 Draft of the Professional American Football League of Mexico (LFA), the Gallos team participated by selecting new players to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season. In the fourth round, they selected Marcos Cortés, an offensive lineman from Pumas CU, with the 32nd overall pick.

Alejandro Jaimes, commissioner of the LFA, announced that the regular season will begin during the weekend of May 2 and 3. Despite originally having the third overall pick, Gallos made a trade with the Reyes de Jalisco, which led them to choose from the eighth position onwards. As their first reinforcement, they chose Luis Pedro García, an offensive lineman from the Borregos Salvajes of Tec de Monterrey.

The Gallos team hopes to improve their results from last season, where they did not qualify for the playoffs. This time, they also added a defensive lineman from the Águilas Blancas of IPN in the same round. In the second round, with the 16th pick, they selected receiver Ricardo Aviña, also from the Águilas Blancas, with the aim of strengthening their aerial attack.

For the next season, the playoffs of the LFA will undergo changes. The wildcard round will be eliminated, allowing the top four teams to advance directly to the semifinals on their way to the Tazón México VII. Although the venue for this event is still to be determined, Gallos is confident that the additions made will help them achieve better results in the upcoming campaign.
