Nike Promotes Healthy Lifestyle in Mexico City

This April, runners in Mexico City will once again gather for the traditional "social run" on Paseo de la Reforma. Upon returning to the store, athletes will be able to enjoy surprises ranging from special discounts to gifts, fostering synergy and the desire to practice sports.

In Plaza Satélite, an activity was held where more than 50 people gathered for a functional training class, promoting the incorporation of physical activity into daily routines. The philosophy of maintaining a healthy lifestyle has gained followers, with more and more people joining this community.

Ambassador Andrés Pirela has led these activities, preparing the community for the upcoming half marathon in June. Sports not only provide health benefits but also positively influence mental health, activating neurotransmitters like serotonin.

According to INEGI, exercising for health reasons is the main motivation, followed by the desire to look good and for fun. Being part of a fitness community is a constant motivation to maintain the practice of physical activity and to encourage socialization.

In Mexico City, it is possible to join groups dedicated to various sports disciplines such as running, pilates, bodybuilding, and calisthenics. Nike has established new meeting points to offer guided classes in pilates, calisthenics, and marathons, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle in the community.
