Incident at the Mexican Grand Prix of Formula 1

The Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix started with an incident at the start that left two drivers out of the race before they reached the first corner. Yuki Tsunoda from VCARB suffered a collision with Alexander Albon from Williams, causing him to lose control of his car and crash into the barrier. Albon was also affected and could not continue due to damage to his car.

As a result of this incident, the safety car went out on the track while the affected area was cleared. Tsunoda had to retire from the race, recalling what happened the previous year with Checo Pérez, who also suffered a crash at the start and couldn't finish the Grand Prix.

On the other hand, Sergio Pérez had a good start, gaining five positions, moving from 18th to 13th. However, the stewards detected that Pérez did not line up correctly on the starting grid, resulting in a five-second penalty.
