Spring Vacation in Nuevo León Museums

With the arrival of the spring vacation period, the museums of Nuevo León have prepared a diverse agenda that demonstrates that learning and entertainment can go hand in hand for the whole family. From open-air festivals to interactive workshops and traditional games, venues like the Museum of Mexican History and La Milarca are ideal options to enjoy free time during Holy Week.

Open-air shows and traditions The Plaza of the Museum of Mexican History will come to life with the ItinerArte 2026 Festival, from March 27 to 29 at 7:00 PM. This event will feature the participation of mimes, clowns, puppeteers, and dancers from various regions of Mexico and Chile. Additionally, from March 31 to April 12, the "Noches de Algarabía Folclórica" will bring together more than 50 traditional dance groups starting at 7:00 PM. For those seeking to learn more about local and national identity, the Tequio HUB Intercultural Fair will be held from March 31 to April 5, followed by the "Made in Nuevo León" Market from April 7 to 12. Both spaces will allow visitors to purchase crafts and local products from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Art and reflection at the Museum of Mexican History For those interested in history and sacred art, the Marfiles Room offers a look into the past with 17th-century oratories linked to Holy Week. The "The Art of Gratitude" workshop, focused on the history of ex-votos, will be held on April 2, 3, 9, and 10 in two sessions, requiring prior registration due to limited capacity. Lovers of modern art can also enjoy the "Art, Criticism, and Modernity" exhibition, created in collaboration with the Femsa Historical Archive.

Adventures and games at La Milarca La Milarca museum has adjusted its hours to welcome more visitors, operating from Tuesday to Sunday with extended hours until 7:00 or 8:00 PM depending on the day, from March 28 to April 12. Among its main attractions for these dates is "Buenas con La Milarca," a dynamic activity based on Mexican lottery, scheduled for March 31, April 1, 7, and 8. Children can become "Little Explorers" from April 9 to 12, solving riddles about the museum's pieces to win prizes.

Cultural authorities invite the community to "Live the History" and "Discover the Extraordinary" by consulting the complete programs on the official websites.
