Tigres Announces Leadership Change as Mauricio Culebro Steps Down

The Mexican football club Tigres has announced a significant change in its leadership. After five years of successful presidency, Mauricio Culebro will be stepping down from his post effective June 1st. He will be succeeded by Carlos Emilio González, who brings a wealth of international experience. Culebro achieved considerable success during his tenure at the club, including three Liga MX finals and one championship. He also spearheaded strategic projects focused on infrastructure and basic forces. In turn, González will take on the new role, continuing to strengthen ties between Mexico and the United States. Over the next two months, they will work together to ensure a smooth transition. The club expressed its gratitude to Culebro for his leadership and his contribution to one of the most successful periods in the club's history. This decision reaffirms Tigres' intention to evolve without losing its identity.

"Assuming the presidency of Tigres represents the greatest honor of my professional life," said Emilio González. "Joining an institution with so much history, social impact, and relevance in football implies a great responsibility that I assume with full commitment."

With González as president, Carlos Valenzuela will occupy the position of executive vice-president, reinforcing the club's leadership structure. Culebro, for his part, will embark on a new professional challenge, joining the international group AMB Sports and Entertainment, which manages franchises such as Atlanta United FC and Atlanta Falcons.
