In the presentation of the Security Strategy in Naucalpan City, the launch of various measures aimed at strengthening security in the municipality was announced. The mayor, Isaac Montoya Márquez, detailed that 28 Tecallis will be recovered to convert them into an intelligent monitoring center, in addition to the purging of 109 elements in the corporation.
Montoya Márquez explained that among the actions to be undertaken are the creation of the Municipal Guard, the rehabilitation of the Tecallis, the systematization of fine payments, and the implementation of an Integral Center for Security, Emergencies, and Justice. The new security model seeks to regain citizens' trust in the police through the transition to the Municipal Guard.
The municipal president announced the recruitment of 700 new elements for the corporation, which will allow an increase in the number of guards in Naucalpan. There are plans to significantly increase the vehicle fleet, reaching a total of 420 operational patrol cars, with the possibility of reaching up to 500.
Security operations such as the Coordinated Interinstitutional Operation, the State and Municipal Coordination Operation, the Intermunicipal Operation, and the Secure Border Operation will be implemented. Additionally, there will be efforts to improve the working conditions and perceptions of security elements to optimize their performance.
On another note, the creation of the Integral Center for Security, Emergencies, and Justice is projected, which will concentrate the C4, the police station, the Civic Judge, and civil protection. This initiative aims to reduce response times to emergency situations and strengthen technological capacity to combat crime in the municipality.
Regarding the video surveillance infrastructure, it is expected to increase the number of cameras from 100 to more than 600, betting on cutting-edge technology. There are also plans to create an Anticorruption Police to prevent abuses by elements and public servants. Additionally, starting in March, the systematization of fine payments will be implemented to eliminate cash collections, and the process of dignifying the municipal police will continue.
