
As part of the security strategy in the State of Mexico, Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez highlighted a 14% decrease in intentional homicides in the municipality of Naucalpan during the first months of the year. The evaluation of the results was conducted at the Coordination Table for the Construction of Peace, where the Attorney General of Justice of the State of Mexico explained that this criminal decrease covers the period from January 1 to March 9, 2025, compared to the same period of the previous year.
In addition to the drop in homicides, there has been a reduction in crimes such as violent robbery in homes, cargo transportation, businesses, extortion, and rape in Naucalpan. Together, these achievements have contributed to an 11% decrease in the overall crime rate. In the meeting number 366 of the Coordination Table, security authorities from the three levels of government reiterated their commitment to collaborate with municipalities to strengthen measures that ensure the safety and well-being of the population.
Among the attendees at the meeting were Horacio Duarte Olivares, Secretary General of the Government of the State of Mexico; Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, Secretary of Security; José Luis Cervantes Martínez, Attorney General of Justice of the State of Mexico; Isaac Montoya, Mayor of Naucalpan, as well as representatives from the Secretariats of Defense and Navy, National Guard, and National Intelligence Center.
