In the Mexican state of Oaxaca, 10 people have died in road accidents and beach incidents in less than 72 hours. On Sunday, two musicians, Esaú Valdivieso Díaz and Eduardo Seguro Gallegos, died after their vehicle crashed into a double-trailer truck on the Trans-Isthmian Highway near the Dos Océanos gas station in Salina Cruz. On the same day, in the municipality of Ejutla de Crespo, at kilometer 175 near Monte del Toro bypass, a car crash resulted in the deaths of a woman and a man. On Sunday afternoon, in the municipality of San Mateo del Mar, a woman, approximately 38 years old, drowned in the sea while trying to save her minor son. He is safe. On Friday afternoon, two private vehicles collided on the La Venta-La Ventosa highway in Juchitán, leaving one person from Santo Domingo Ingenio dead and at least six others with moderate injuries. Earlier that day, a woman was found dead in a room at the 'Cinco de Mayo' hotel in Juchitán, with the cause of death unknown. Minutes before, two men—Josué O. V., 37, and Eduardo M. G., 28, both from Juchitán—died after their motorcycle crashed on the local road Playa Vicente-Juchitán. Prior to this, on the local road Santa María Xadani-Juchitán, a woman died in a traffic accident in which she was traveling with her husband and daughter. Additionally, a 17-year-old girl named Leslie Sofía has yet to be located. Since the start of Holy Week, Civil Protection has recommended taking precautions on the roads and on the beaches of Oaxaca due to background swell.
