
Jaime Allier Campuzano has applied as a candidate for Minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, becoming the first candidate after the judicial reform was approved, which includes changes such as the election of judges by popular vote. Allier Campuzano is recognized as one of the promoters of the Guelaguetza Law 2024 and currently holds the position of magistrate of the Second Collegiate Court in criminal matters in Oaxaca. He formalized his registration on November 7, 2024, two days after the start of the electoral process, along with three other candidates for the position of judge and one candidate for magistrate.
Allier Campuzano has held various positions within the Judicial Power of the Federation, starting as a Judicial Officer in the Fourth District Court in Oaxaca. He has worked as a Judicial Actuary, Secretary in collegiate courts in labor matters in different circuits, and as the Third District Judge in Oaxaca, among other roles. His career includes being a Magistrate in multiple collegiate courts across the country in various fields.
Jaime Allier Campuzano holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and has a Master's degree in Labor Law. He has held the position of Circuit Magistrate since January 2001. As a candidate for Minister of the Supreme Court, he is committed to working for the respect of human rights, ensuring equitable justice for all, and restoring trust in the judicial system. Among his proposals are judicial humanism, respect for human rights, and the prevalence of social justice in his performance.
He also holds a Doctorate in Law and a Diploma in Indigenous Law, taught by the University and the Institute of Federal Judiciary. The elections for judicial positions, as part of the constitutional reform promoted during the administration of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, will take place in two stages, renewing hundreds of federal positions in the coming years.
