Pachuca Advances to Liga MX Femenil Final

In the semifinal of the Clausura 2025 of the Liga MX Femenil, Pachuca managed to eliminate Monterrey with a final score of 4-2, thus securing their spot in the final where they will face América for the historic title. Monterrey took the lead in the first leg, winning 1-0, and also went ahead in the return leg with a goal from Christina Burkenroad in the 18th minute.

However, the Tuzas of Pachuca equalized the score with a goal from Chinwendu Ihezuo after a cross from Charlyn Corral. Before the end of the first half, Kenti Robles scored a spectacular goal over the goalkeeper, tying the aggregate score. In the second half, Pachuca took the lead with a goal from Chinwendu after a rebound in defense.

The home team continued to press and Chinwendu scored her second goal of the match with a shot between the goalkeeper's legs in the 69th minute, ensuring Pachuca's qualification for the final. This will be Pachuca's fourth attempt to win the Liga MX Femenil title, recalling the lost finals in Apertura 2017, Clausura 2022, and Clausura 2023.

On the other hand, Monterrey failed to defend their title, putting an end to their dream of a three-peat after winning the previous two tournaments. América will be Pachuca's opponent in the final in search of the championship.
