The state authority will provide support to the municipality of Pedro Escobedo and proposes a security strategy, reported the Secretary of Government Carlos Alcaraz. This decision comes after the recent armed attack on three people in a home in the community of San Clemente. Alcaraz emphasized that this incident should serve as a warning to the municipal authority about the importance of ensuring safety, which is why a meeting will be held with that authority.
He stressed that institutional channels of collaboration and coordination have been established to present a specific strategy aimed at addressing the situation in Pedro Escobedo, underscoring the need for adequate support from the state authority. It is crucial for the mayor to be aware of his responsibility and be willing to follow the proposed strategy, working in coordination under the framework of the state development plan.
Regarding the possible violation of municipal autonomy by suggesting a strategy, Alcaraz insisted on the importance of working together, as outlined in the national security strategy promoted by the three levels of government.
On other matters, Alcaraz mentioned that they are collaborating with the municipal administration of the capital in addressing sports spaces, following violent incidents in these areas. He highlighted the shared concern between municipalities and the state government to reduce risky behaviors and promote places that encourage family interaction and healthy entertainment.
Recently, a meeting was held with the Secretary of Citizen Security to discuss proposals that allow municipalities to contribute to the mitigation of risky actions that could disturb social peace.
