This year, the guest state at the Festival of Traditions of Life and Death in Xcaret will be Quintana Roo, and the gala concert will be led by the pop group Reik. For five days, attendees will be able to immerse themselves in this Mexican tradition through a variety of activities including theater performances, music, dance, exhibitions, parades, tours, gastronomy, crafts, and workshops.
Grupo Xcaret will invest around 700 million dollars in expanding its hotel offerings with the addition of 1,800 rooms distributed across a dozen properties. During the Travel Smart event held in Quintana Roo, the tourism company detailed that it will introduce a generational proposal to its properties, with exclusive "houses" for visitors of all ages.
The company announced that it will build exclusive hotel segments for families with children of different age ranges, as well as areas just for adults that will have their own rooftop terrace and private restaurant. The hotel will feature 16 swimming pools, including 4 on the rooftop, two for families, one for teenagers, and one exclusive for adults.
In addition to Xcaret Park, the celebration will extend to other properties such as Hotel Xcaret Arte, Hotel Xcaret México, La Casa de la Playa, as well as the Teatro de la Ciudad and the Domo Villas del Sol in Playa del Carmen. The gala concert, the main event, will take place on November 2 at the Teatro Gran Tlachco, where Reik will offer a special performance as part of their Panorama Tour.
The festival will feature the participation of 36 communities from the Maya Zone and 11 municipalities in Quintana Roo. Xcaret also highlighted the installation of 5 slides designed for the enjoyment of the whole family, and the inclusion of a small hotel, a playroom, teen areas, a 24-hour restaurant-cinema called Xinema, and an original speakeasy for adults, among other novelties.
Grupo Xcaret has developed a high-end hospitality concept combined with experiences in amusement parks, offering a unique experience in Quintana Roo. The 18th edition of the Festival of Traditions of Life and Death will take place from October 30 to November 3 at Xcaret Park, integrating pools that harmonize with the natural surroundings of the location.
