Nicandro Díaz, a renowned television producer, passed away on March 18 of this year, leaving a legal question mark after his death. Amid this sad event, a dispute arises between his last partner, Mariana Robles, and his ex-wife, Cynthia Butrón, over the inheritance he left behind.
According to sources cited by local media, Cynthia filed a complaint in October against Mariana for the alleged dispossession of an apartment that Nicandro had granted in life to his mother in Playa del Carmen. On the other hand, Mariana Robles seeks to remain in the apartment that her boyfriend left her before passing away, without seeking to claim anything beyond that. The situation has become tense between both parties, with accusations of theft and dispossession.
A close family source commented on the inheritance dispute: 'Cynthia argues that she and her son are the legal representatives of Nicandro’s mother. That’s why she sued Mariana, who lived with the producer. However, Mariana has been unable to recover documents and personal belongings that were in the property.' The dispute not only centers on properties but also involves a foreign account that is reportedly missing.
So far, Nicandro Díaz’s will has not been opened. It is speculated that the fortune of about 900 million pesos accumulated by the producer throughout his career is at stake in this dispute. Mariana and Cynthia, the two main parties interested in this inheritance, find themselves in a legal crossroads that seems far from being resolved in the short term.
