This Wednesday morning, journalist Alan García Zúñiga was reported missing after being intercepted by a group of armed individuals near his home in the Guadalupe Victoria neighborhood in Poza Rica. It was reported that the assailants chased him before carrying out the kidnapping. In response, a security operation was deployed in the area with the arrival of elements from the Secretariat of Public Security and the National Guard to initiate the pertinent investigations. So far, authorities have not provided official statements regarding the case.
The journalist collaborates with the media outlet 'Resistencia Veracruzana', dedicated to reporting and police events, and has worked for the Noroeste portal and other media. In addition to his journalistic work, Alan García also works in the oil sector as an orderly at the Pemex Zone Hospital. In the past, García has faced risky situations, having survived an armed attack in 2017.
