Mexican authorities have launched an investigation following the crash of a small plane in the central state of Puebla, which resulted in the deaths of four people. According to official reports, the aircraft was a Cessna 172 flying from Puebla to the airport in Poza Rica, Veracruz. The plane lost contact with air traffic control shortly after takeoff at approximately 12:03 local time (18:03 GMT). The wreckage was found with three people dead on board—two crew members and one passenger—and one person seriously injured. Hours later, the government of Puebla updated the death toll, confirming that the fourth victim died while being transported for specialized medical care. The accident occurred in farmland near the Parque Industrial San Miguel Quetzalcóatl in the municipality of Huejotzingo. The plane was identified as a C172 with registration XB-RRN. The rescue operation involved state civil protection, the National Guard, state police, firefighters, and other emergency services. The Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) has initiated the corresponding administrative investigation.
