Professional American football returns to Puebla after five years, with the participation of the Gallos Negros led by head coach Carlos Strevel. The opening game will be held on May 2 at 7:30 PM at the Cráter Azul of Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Puebla, where the Gallos Negros will face the Arcángeles de Puebla, marking the start of the 2025 season of the Professional American Football League (LFA).
The Gallos Negros arrive at this game with a strengthened roster after the league draft and a solid base of players. Their next match will take place on Saturday, May 17, against the Reyes de Jalisco, as part of week three.
On the other hand, the Arcángeles de Puebla, under the direction of Marco Martos, a former NFL Europe player, debut in the LFA with a team composed of 45 members, including talents from educational institutions such as UDLAP and Tec de Monterrey. The game will be broadcast live through the official platforms of the LFA and both teams.
The Estadio Olímpico Alameda will be the venue for the four home games that the Gallos Negros will play, starting with the matchup against the two-time champions, the Caudillos de Chihuahua, on May 31. Then, on June 7, they will host Dinos de Saltillo and finish the regular campaign on Saturday, June 21, against Raptors del Valle.
