Kidnapping of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán at La Leche Restaurant

Iván Archivaldo Guzmán celebrated his birthday in 2018 at the restaurant La Leche, known for its dishes with seafood ingredients. The menu of the place is constantly updated, although it maintains some favorite recipes.

The restaurant, managed by chef Poncho Cadena, offers a variety of appetizers to whet the appetite, such as Vegetable Soup, Marinated Tuna in Vinaigrette, Artichoke Salad, among other options. For main dishes, they offer Baked Duck, Braised Beef Ribs, Fettuccini Pasta with Fish and Seafood, among others.

The available drinks range from 120 pesos to 300 pesos, and the dessert menu includes options such as Cheesecake, Corn Pie with Buñuelos, Fig Tart, and more. The restaurant is located in the northern hotel zone in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, opening from 18:00 to 2:00 every day.

During Iván Archivaldo Guzmán's kidnapping at La Leche, the armed commandos forcibly removed him from the place without causing harm to anyone. In a press conference in 2018, Ignacio Cadena explained that the restaurant staff remained safe by hiding. The drug trafficker revealed some details of his experience in that restaurant and how he managed to escape dressed as a waiter.

Despite the situation, Cadena mentioned that he still trusted his inner circle: "The only lesson I learned from this is that I can’t trust anyone, not even my own shadow. It’s unfortunate that it happened in my place, but it’s good that it didn’t get worse or more serious. This is the only reason why I'm still with my family and friends."
