Excellence in sports preparation was recognized at a ceremony where coach Brenda Lorena Jiménez Cruz was awarded for her outstanding work in conventional boxing, guiding her athletes towards international goals. On the other hand, Jannet Alegría Peña, coach of parataekwondo, was recognized for her tireless work in the field of adapted sports.
During the event, members of the jury were present, composed of representatives from media outlets, presidents of sports associations, coaches, awarded athletes, and other previously designated members. They had the challenging task of selecting the awardees from numerous proposals.
The recognition not only brings prestige but also includes a financial incentive. A fund of 420,000 pesos will be distributed among the five winners, thanks to state efforts. Additionally, CONADE will contribute a total of 110,000 pesos, which will be shared among Guillermo Döring, Iván Torres, and Brenda Jiménez.
The awards celebrated not only competition victories but also the dedication and sacrifice behind every training session. Highlighting among athletes born in 2006 and previous years, Olympic archer Carlos Javier Rojas López was crowned the best in the first strength category for his precision and consistency.
In adapted sports, Iván Torres Pérez, a Paralympic taekwondo athlete, received the award for his achievements, showing that limits only exist in the mind. Meanwhile, in the youth athlete category of conventional sports, Guillermo Döring Gutiérrez received recognition for his outstanding participation in competitions, setting a precedent for new generations of athletes in the region.
These awardees symbolize the ongoing effort to achieve excellence, inspiring the entire sports community of Querétaro and setting a standard for future generations.
