Daniela Martell Orozco, a plastic artist and host of the inDrive platform, was reported missing in San Luis Potosí on January 6. Nine days later, her car was found burned in the municipality of Zaragoza. After an intense search and investigation by the authorities, the State Attorney General confirmed that the skeletal remains found in that locality belong to Daniela Martell.

In the latest information regarding the case, the Attorney General detailed that, following analysis by the Forensic Genetics Laboratory, the victim's identity was confirmed. The Attorney General informed Daniela’s immediate family of this conclusion. Following the investigation, sufficient evidence was gathered to request arrest warrants against five individuals.

These five individuals were arrested in the early hours of Wednesday and are accused of allegedly participating in the crimes of aggravated kidnapping and other offenses related to the disappearance of persons. According to the investigation, the accused are said to have deprived Daniela of her liberty and subsequently took her life. The detainees were informed of their rights and are under the jurisdiction of a Control Judge and Oral Trial Court.

According to Daniela’s family, she left her home in the Tequisquiapan neighborhood after having dinner with her children to work as a driver for the inDrive application. Despite this, the company reported that there are no records of her having completed any trips that night. The initial hearing for those involved will take place this Thursday, where their legal situation will be defined.
