Polls don't lie, at least that's what Governor Ricardo Gallardo's attitude shows. In recent days, he has called an emergency meeting with his closest team to prepare the ground for a potential break with Morena. The plan, known as Gallardo Cardona's plan, is to run his wife, Senator Ruth González, for the governorship of San Luis Potosí in 2027 with the support of the 4T coalition (Morena, Green Party and Labor Party), but in the National Palace they think otherwise. González Silva, a senator for the Green Party, does not have the sympathy of the most important authorities of the 4T, and since President Claudia Sheinbaum promoted the anti-nepotism law, it has been said that one of its targets was precisely the marriage from San Luis Potosí. Therefore, according to sources from Morena operators in the Congress of the Union, the demands of the Green Party promoted by Ricardo Gallardo through deputy Carlos Puente and senator Manuel Velasco will be the first casualties in the fight for the approval of the Electoral Reform in San Lázaro. According to the same sources, if Sheinbaum's Electoral Reform does not pass, the 'guinda' party will be in a better position to negotiate with its coalition partners without the need to grant more to the Green Party and the PT, due to the debt for rejecting the constitutional reform of the Presidency. The mayor rules out Monreal in the Zacatecas poll and casts doubt on the alliance in San Luis Potosí.
