The renowned stylist Silvia Galván recently passed away due to stomach cancer, a disease that was diagnosed at an advanced stage, predicting her less than a year to live. Galván, appreciated for her work in the beauty industry in Mexico, was mourned by artists such as Laura Zapata, and her daughters confirmed her death through a statement on social media.

"She underwent a procedure, a very delicate surgery. A cancer in the stomach was discovered, she had a perforation in the stomach, and the surgery was to close that perforation," explained one of her daughters, Erika. After the surgery, Silvia Galván was preparing to start treatment for the stomach cancer she was suffering from. Despite medical efforts, the disease was in a terminal stage.

Galván's doctor, César Adrián Sepúlveda Benavides, detailed that the cancer had already metastasized and the disease was in an unusually advanced phase, making any possibility of cure difficult. She was offered chemotherapy to relieve her symptoms, although her life expectancy was significantly reduced to between 6 and 12 months.

Silvia Galván's career in the beauty world made her an emblematic figure, founding the Silvia Galván Image Studio in 1985 in Nuevo León. Among her activities, she offered workshops and conferences on image design and styling, in addition to being a collaborator on the Hoy program, where she shared beauty and fashion tips.

Galván was known for attending various celebrities, such as Michelle Salas, Verónica Castro, Camila Sodi, and Cecilia Suárez. Her focus on providing comprehensive image design and her dedication to her work earned her recognition and appreciation from her clients and followers. With her passing, there is a void in the beauty industry in Mexico, but her legacy will endure in each of the people she inspired with her talent and generosity.
