President Claudia Sheinbaum drew the attention of Morena legislators during her visit to San Quintín, Baja California, for the presentation of the Justice Plan for Agricultural Workers. The event took place on Saturday, January 31, prior to her speech at a massive rally held at the Intercultural University of the Baja California municipality. According to information from local media, the head of state arrived at the event scheduled for 10:00 AM; however, before entering, she spoke with a group of protesters blocking access to the main avenue. After that exchange and before ascending the stage, Sheinbaum passed in front of a group of officials and federal and local legislators who were behind a metal fence. At that moment, the president directed a direct call to deputies and a senator present, including Armando Ayala Robles, as well as to federal and local legislators from Baja California. According to reports, she expressed to them: "All of you must be more with the people and stop being there (in Mexico City)", while pointing at them with her index finger. Subsequently, a 15-second video was disseminated on various informational portals of the entity, in which the president can be heard saying: "All of you: work more with the people!". During the event, Sheinbaum announced the installation of a Federal Government Integration Center in San Quintín and committed to returning in six months. Additionally, she detailed actions in the areas of health, electrification, road infrastructure, and access to water, as part of the Justice Plan, which includes the coordination of social programs and the construction of a hospital by the Secretariat of National Defense.
Sheinbaum calls on Mexican deputies to be closer to the people
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, during a visit to San Quintín, publicly called on deputies and senators to work more with the population and spend less time in Mexico City. As part of her visit, she also announced social projects for the region.
