Sheinbaum scolds Morena party in San Quintín

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum scolded lawmakers and officials from the ruling Morena party for their lack of closeness to citizens. The incident took place on Saturday, following the presentation of the Justice Plan for Agricultural Workers in San Quintín, Baja California.

In a clip posted on social media, the President is seen addressing the party members with evident annoyance, demanding that they work more closely with the population. Among those present who faced the criticism were Senator Armando Ayala, Deputy Evelyn Sánchez, and San Quintín Mayor Miriam Cano.

"All of you: work more with the people!" Sheinbaum stated.

According to local media, upon her arrival at the university, Sheinbaum was intercepted by a group of protesters. Residents demanded road repairs and decent hospitals, as well as the removal of Mayor Cano. In response, the President promised to send a federal representative to supervise the implementation of the promised programs, including the construction of a hospital and the renovation of 20 health centers.
