Inauguration of General Hospital in Santa Rosalía

Alejandro Svarch Pérez presented the Health Doctors and Physicians Program, with 282 community hospitals in Baja California Sur to improve access to health care.

The General Director of IMSS-Bienestar, Alejandro Svarch Pérez, presented the Doctors and Health Professionals of Well-Being program, part of the strategy to build one of the largest public health networks in the world and bring services closer to those who need them most.

Among the commitments of IMSS-Bienestar is the launch of 282 community hospitals during the first 100 days of government. This initiative aims to address gaps in healthcare personnel and adequately distribute services to ensure access to health for all individuals.

During the inauguration of a hospital in Baja California Sur, Governor Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío recognized the extraordinary work of doctors and nurses in caring for the health of the population, especially during difficult times. The opening of this medical unit was a tribute to these healthcare professionals.

The event was attended by officials from IMSS-Bienestar and the state government, as well as the General Coordinator of Intergovernmental Affairs and Citizen Participation of the Mexican government, Leticia Ramírez Amaya.

The Santa Rosalía General and Teaching Hospital was the chosen venue for the inauguration ceremony, where it was highlighted that this new medical unit will be close to the population and will ensure continuity in the care of referred patients from different areas.

Alejandro Svarch Pérez emphasized that Doctors and Health Professionals of Well-Being are committed professionals dedicated to ensuring comprehensive care and access to public health services, thinking in networks, integrating into the territory, and building community.

The Doctors and Health Professionals of Well-Being program includes care in more than 10,000 first, second, and third-level units, with the goal of reaching all corners of the country where the population requires medical attention.
