
The Secretary of Economy of Sinaloa reported that in February 2025, 1,473 new formal jobs were created, representing an increase of 0.2 percent compared to January of this year. With this growth, the state reached 614,863 formal jobs, which means an increase of 29,876 positions since the beginning of the current state administration, equivalent to a 5.1 percent increase in the workforce.
Registered temporary employment with the IMSS showed an annual increase of 6 percent, the highest in the last three years. In addition, Sinaloa has an Unemployment Rate of 2.1 percent, below the national average of 2.6 percent, according to the most recent data.
"This increase in the generation of formal jobs is a reflection of the economic dynamism that our state is experiencing. It is encouraging to see how more job opportunities are being added for the people of Sinaloa, which contributes to strengthening our local economy," said the Secretary of Economy of Sinaloa.
