"Unfortunately, violence in Sinaloa continues to rise, and we have recorded 197 homicides since this wave of violence began," stated the official.

According to official information, most of these cases are believed to be related to clashes between criminal groups operating in the area.

Local authorities have reinforced police presence in critical areas and implemented strategies to contain the violence in the region.
