This "narco-encyclopedia" includes names of Mexican political figures, such as governors, mayors, and even former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, with whom Zambada allegedly maintained agreements, favors, and possible payments. The revelation was made public on February 3, following accusations from the White House against the Mexican government for alleged links to drug trafficking, which were denied by President Claudia Sheinbaum.
Chaparro mentions that the "narco-encyclopedia" contains key names of both drug traffickers and political figures close to El Mayo. Among them are Sinaloa Governor Rubén Rocha Moya and former Governor Mario López Valdez, who were reportedly mentioned during the interrogation of the cartel leader.
